Tween & Teen Parenting Series: Underage Drinking

Tween & Teen Parenting Series: Underage Drinking In-Person

These sessions are expected to fill quickly; reserve your seat through the Huntington Woods Library events calendar. This is a collaborative effort between the Huntington Woods Library, the Tri-Community Coalition and the Huntington Woods and Berkley Public Safety Departments.

Some children begin drinking as early as fifth grade and by the time they reach high school, they have easy access. Learn what you need to know about the effects of underage drinking on your child and your family, as well as the legal ramifications for both kids and adults.

Unaccompanied Adults

During children’s programs parts of the Library are reserved for children, their parents or responsible adult caregivers. No adult (with the exception of staff and City personnel) may register to attend a children’s program, or be admitted to a children’s program, unless accompanied by a child. Out of concern for the safety of young patrons, adults who are unaccompanied by a child or children in the children’s program area may be questioned by staff, and may be asked to leave the area.
