Art Workshops for Adults: Trompe L’oeil Wooden “Book”

Art Workshops for Adults: Trompe L’oeil Wooden “Book” In-Person

Who doesn’t love books? And even better, a box to LOOK like a book! “Fool the Eye” with your handcrafted trompe l’oeil wooden book covered to look like a beautiful art book of your favorite famous artist.  What a clever way to store your remote, your glasses, a pad of paper -- all of your clutter and look good at the same time!

The Art Workshop fun continues this fall with more great workshops with Huntington Woods Native and Local Handcraft Artist and Teacher, Jane Alkon. Sign up for these popular programs and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of creativity and conversation, coffee and cake. You are guaranteed to create a professional looking, fabulous art piece you will be proud of and enjoy for years to come!

The workshops meet in the Knox Room of the Huntington Woods Library.  They are open to Adult Residents* in Huntington Woods and Pleasant Ridge.  All workshops are free of charge and include all of the supplies necessary to complete the projects. These workshops fill quickly and are limited to 15 participants.

*You must be over 21 to participate in these workshops.

Unaccompanied Adults

During children’s programs parts of the Library are reserved for children, their parents or responsible adult caregivers. No adult (with the exception of staff and City personnel) may register to attend a children’s program, or be admitted to a children’s program, unless accompanied by a child. Out of concern for the safety of young patrons, adults who are unaccompanied by a child or children in the children’s program area may be questioned by staff, and may be asked to leave the area.
