Monet to Dali: Birth of the Modern Art Movement Online
Join art historian Wendy Evans for a lively discussion From Monet to Dali: Birth of the Modern. This richly illustrated talk presents artists who, in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, changed the course of western art. Looking at works by artists such as Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso, we'll explore the ma- jor art movements around the turn of the last century.
Wendy Evans was raised among the museums of London, England. She has advanced degrees from Oxford University in England and Wayne State University in Detroit. She taught Art History at Wayne State University and elsewhere and is a long-time volunteer at the Detroit In- stitute of Arts. Known for her English accent and crazy socks, Wendy loves to share her passion for art with audiences.
